This paper accepted in QSR, systematically reports, and describes ALL the different shrew species (9) from the entire stratigraphic sequence of Gran Dolina (Atapuerca, Spain): Early to Middle Pleistocene. It also discusses the main biochronologic and biogeographic implications of those taxa for Eurasian archaeo-palaeontology.
Co-author Juan Rofes is an Associate Professor of the UP School of Archaeology and head of its Zooarchaeological Laboratory.

Dr. Armand Salvador Mijares receives the 2021 UPAA Distinguished Alumni Award in Science and Technology (Archaeology)!
The University of the Philippines Alumni Awards granted ASP's very own Dr. Armand Mijares an award for his contribution to the advancement of science and technology. Dr. Mijares is the head of the Callao Cave Project where a new species of Homo was found. He is currently working in Bulacan and Cagayan Valley to build a deeper understanding of the human past.
