Kasadya: Celebrating 30 Years of Archaeology and Diversity at UP
Today, August 24, 2025, marks the 30th founding anniversary of the UP School of Archaeology, formerly the Archaeological Studies Program. As we mark this special milestone, we invoke kasadya - a Visayan word for joy, happiness, and cheer - and commemorate this anniversary by celebrating the archaeology of diversity. We remember and reflect on notable people, places, projects, and objects across this 30-year journey: markers of how the School has grown in service of the academe, community, and nation.
