Congratulations to UPSA winners of IPPA 2022 Poster Competition

Two posters made by students and faculty of the Archaeological Studies Program received awards from the IPPA 2022 Poster Prize as best posters.

Igal Jada San Andres for her poster entitled "Threading Connections: A Preliminary, Multi-Level Analysis of Beads From the Agusan River Valley". Jada is doing her Masters in Archaeology, and she is interested in studying beads.

Fairuz B. Bangahan, Mark Laurence D. Garcia, Arienne Kemon A. Flores, Al A. Parreño, and Michael James B. Herrera for their poster entitled "The Domestication of Taro: Potential Origin Stories in the Indo-Pacific". Fai, Mark, Aki and Al are doing their Masters in Archaeology, with Fai and Mark focusing on genetics. Dr. Mike Herrera oversaw the study.
