Binalot Talks

The Binalot Talks (formerly Brown Bag Talks) are held every Wednesday, 12pm to 1 pm at Albert Hall Seminar Room 2 of the UP School of Archaeology .
We tackle everything and anything archaeological, and then some!
We started the Binalot Talks at the then ASP (Archaeological Studies Program) in 2003 to regularize the informal talks organized for the benefit of the ASP community. We believe that this format of interaction is effective in allowing people from various backgrounds to communicate, and for research interests to be aired. We have managed to create better links with other disciplines in the university, provide a venue for visiting scholars, widen our horizon of interest and start collaborative research with people outside the UP School of Archaeology.
The talk is open to the public and because of its regularity, we have developed an audience of people who travel to Albert Hall from as far as Makati and Manila just to attend. The environment is a relaxed one and the audience is very diverse.
We post announcements of upcoming talks through our events page and Facebook page  and weekly announcements are posted at the homepage: https://archaeology.upd.edu.ph

Some of our past talks are also available at youtube.
