Abstract
The Philippine tarsier, a small nocturnal primate endemic to the Philippines, is one of the more popular flagship species of the country, a cultural icon that is mostly associated with ecotourism, especially in Bohol. Despite its popularity, shortfalls about our knowledge of Philippine tarsiers are prevalent. Here, I review the knowns and unknowns about Philippine tarsiers and highlight the recent and ongoing efforts that aim to address existing shortfalls, as well as our future targets and priorities in their research and conservation.
