Abstract
The first systematic application of micro-geoarchaeology for the investigation of submerged prehistoric sites is described using four case studies published in peer-review journals. Submerged prehistoric contexts worldwide, new methodological practices, and valuable social interpretations about the Neolithization processes in the southeastern Mediterranean coast are integrated throughout the investigations of three different archaeological archives: artifacts (pottery and mud bricks), site features (combination features), and open space deposits (survey method).
